It is well documented that these investors are under significant pressure to reduce costs associated with such investments. Blueprint’s business model and investment programs build on the body of research and experience gained over the course of the last two years examining alignment of interests, institutional investment patterns and industry supply and demand dynamics. Blueprint has three main value propositions for institutions – structuring lower alternative management fees, sourcing a diversifying set of alternative managers and assisting resource constrained institutions with portfolio implementation. We focus on managers with $250 million to $1.25 billion of AUM and allocate capital in exchange for steeply discounted capacity instead of GP stakes and revenue shares. We use a managed account platform structure our participation and circumvent MFN and the result is significantly reduced alternative manager fees and expenses.
