Crawford Lake Capital Management, LLC is an SEC-registered investment adviser that manages a trading-oriented long/short equity strategy. Isaac Markowitz and Jacob Herzka have been managing Crawford Lake together since 2008 (which they consider to be the firm’s year of inception), after Mr. Markowitz began managing the firm as the sole partner and portfolio manager in 2006. In 2015, Jeff Schachter joined as President and Chief Operating Officer.

Crawford Lake GP, LLC served as the firm’s initial sole management entity, until Crawford Lake Capital Management, LLC was formed in 2013 as part of an ongoing institutionalization process. The firm branded all of its entities under the name “Crawford Lake” in 2015 to establish a unique brand identity.
