Northill Capital was founded in 2010 by Jon Little, with substantial financial backing from interests associated with the Bertarelli Family and assistance from the other partners – Jeremy Bassil, Rick Potter, Darius Berendji and Cathy Jones. Northill provides equity and seed capital to a small number of high-quality start-ups or early stage asset managers and provides equity capital to replace existing shareholders in larger more established asset management businesses. Assets under management by businesses in which Northill owns a majority interest total approximately $84 billion (estimate as at 28 February 2019).
Northill has built a small, experienced team to ensure that we add value to our investments and provide them with an owner alongside management who is engaged and supportive whilst ensuring that existing management teams retain a high degree of freedom and autonomy to develop their businesses. As a private shareholder with access to significant long-term capital and no requirement to exit or IPO our investments, we are committed to the long-term development of the businesses in which we invest. This commitment includes ensuring that we support management succession by providing liquidity for management equity.
