Mark Thompson co-founded Riverbridge in 1987 to pursue his passionate belief in long-term investing. Mark serves as executive chairman of the Riverbridge Board of Managers. As executive chairman, Mark is responsible for providing strategic oversight and ensuring sound governance of the firm. Prior to founding Riverbridge, Mark was at IDS Financial Services Corp. as an associate portfolio manager of the IDS New Dimensions Fund. Mark is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Minnesota. Mark is also a member of the Board of Directors of Endurance Capital Holdings, LLC, Wiland, Inc., Tradition Bancshares, Inc., Macro Biologics, Inc., TreeHouse Hope, Inc., Opportunity International Nicaragua, Inc., as well as a trustee of the LoCorr mutual funds. He is also active in the Minneapolis City of Lakes Rotary Club and his local church, Christ Presbyterian Church. Mark earned his Bachelor of Science in Business in Finance from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.
