Balyasny Asset Management has hired a client relationship director alongside an analyst in its London office, HFMWeek understands.
Pavlos Anagnou previously worked as a sales director at alternative investment firm Aquila Capital for over two years, according to his LinkedIn page.
Prior to that, he worked in a similar role in Citadel’s client and partner group for almost three years.
He was previously an investment manager at boutique London asset manager Byron Capital Partners for around five years.
Balyasny’s London office has also added analyst Stephan Puetter, who most recently worked as an analyst at former Millennium-backed industrials-focused start up Albar Capital.
Before joining the firm upon its launch in mid-2017, Puetter held a similar role at Millennium for around three years, according to FCA filings.
He also spent stints as an analyst at UBS and Goldman Sachs before moving to the buy-side.
Dmitry Balyasny’s firm has recently downsized its office space and workforce in central New York following around $4bn in outflows last year.
It is not known whether Anagnou and Puetter’s roles have been replaced at their respective previous firms.
Balyasny declined to comment. Albar and Aquila Capital did not respond for comment.
