SkyBridge Capital has promoted Troy Gayeski to co-chief investment officer, serving alongside long-time CIO Ray Nolte.
Working alongside Nolte for 14 years, Gayeski had been a senior portfolio manager overseeing the $9bn firm’s discretionary FoHF portfolios, including the flagship ’40 Act fund known as Series G as well as its privately placed offshore FoHFs and institutional separate accounts.
His responsibilities now include portfolio management, manager sourcing, research and due diligence across a wide variety of alternative investment strategies.
According to the latest HFM InvestHedge Billion Dollar Club, SkyBridge’s assets fell by 7.4% last year. The firm is also in the process, under the leadership of founder and managing partner Anthony Scaramucci, of rebooting its popular SALT conference in Las Vegas.
“We are thrilled to announce Troy’s promotion to co-CIO,” Scaramucci said.
Gayeski’s promotion follows other organisational changes. Last autumn, SkyBridge named Brett Mussing as president as it prepared to launch an Opportunity Zone REIT product, with the aim to reportedly raise some $3bn.
