An investor relations professional working in the London office of Brigade Capital Management has left to join debt manager Hayfin Capital Management, HFM InvestHedge understands.
Julia von Sparr worked at Brigade for over five years and joins Hayfin in an associate role, according to her LinkedIn page.
Von Sparr’s authorisation at $5.5bn Brigade ceased on 20 December, FCA filings show.
Her departure follows the recent retirement of senior IR pro and marketer Ed Finneran, who left the firm at the end of last year.
Finneran worked at Brigade for almost a decade and latterly held a senior relationship manager role, according to Brigade’s SEC filings.
Brigade targets companies with leveraged balance sheets and manages strategies including long/short, structured, opportunistic, distressed and high-yield debt.
Hayfin runs a European private debt business and has around $12bn under management.
In November, sister title Alt Credit reported that the firm hired Prosiris Capital’s head of CLO trading, Tapan Jain, as global head of securitised products.
Hayfin Capital and Brigade declined to comment.
