Jupiter Asset Management has hired Neuberger Berman (NB) Emea and Apac marketing head David Rowe to work as global head of marketing, based in London.
Rowe, who joined Jupiter at the start of the year, worked at NB for around three years, according to his LinkedIn page.
Prior to that, he spent over three years as head of Emea and Apac marketing and communications at Pimco.
He was also head of marketing at Threadneedle Asset Management, where he worked for over four years.
Jupiter global head of distribution Nick Ring said: “As we continue to grow and diversify Jupiter’s distribution reach by client, product and geography we are pleased to welcome to the company someone with David’s significant marketing experience both in the UK and internationally. I look forward to working with him.”
Rowe joins to replace former marketing head Laura Curtis, who left for a similar role at Vanguard Asset Management last year.
In April last year, Jupiter hired ex-Caxton and SAC Capital portfolio manager Darren Starr to build out its liquid alternatives business.
Jupiter invests across absolute return, equities, fixed income and multi-asset strategies. The firm manages around $2.7bn in liquid alts strategies.
A spokesperson for NB confirmed Rowe’s departure, but declined to comment on his replacement.
