Paamco, the NYC Comptroller’s Office, Aon Hewitt and Adamas Capital Partners will hear pitches from five emerging alternatives managers at the end of this month, CreativeCap Advisors has announced.
The consulting firm will host its inaugural, invitation-only “virtual pitch day” at the end of this month, with members of its 2018 incubation programme presenting their funds.
CreativeCap has lined up Jeffrey Willardson, head of investments for Paamco Launchpad; Neil Messing, head of hedge funds for the NYC Comptroller’s Office; Meredith Jones, partner and head of emerging manager research at Aon and Mark Hibbs, partner and CEO of Adamas.
“We are incredibly excited to offer a select few institutional investors a first look at our incubates,” said Tyra Jeffries, founder and CEO of CreativeCap Advisors.
“Each incubatee brings something unique to the table. We decided to host a small group to allow a much closer-knit experience for investors and our Fall 2018 class,” Jeffries added.
Two emerging hedge funds are included in the pitch line-up: Chicago-based Enhanced Investment Partners and San Francisco-based TruEdge Alternatives.
Enhanced Investment Partners runs the Enhanced Alternative Income Fund, a liquid alternative fund that utilises a non-directional, non-correlated market-neutral domestic equity strategy based upon a proprietary strategic investment overlay methodology.
TruEdge Alternatives, which is in the process of launching, trades a scientifically driven liquid alternative strategy that implements cross-asset views leveraged from micro-linked macro data.
The other firms pitching are London-based Mayar Capital, a long-only value equity firm, Social Impact Capital, a New York venture capital firm and late-stage technology VC firm Chainfund Capital.
CreativeCap Advisors will re-open its application process for its next incubation programme, which aims to help emerging alternatives managers with marketing, investor relations, business development and business management, on 1 February.
Members remain in the incubation programme until they reach $250m in AuM.
