Andy Howard was named global head of sustainable investment at Schroders.
He replaced Jessica Ground. Details about Ms. Ground's future plans could not immediately be learned.
Mr. Howard reports to Charles Prideaux, global head of investment. He leads the sustainable investment team, a news release said. Mr. Howard also retains his responsibilities as head of sustainable research.
"We recognize that our ability to deliver value to our clients hinges on developing and applying sustainability insight that will strengthen performance and meet their increasing ESG outcome requirements," Mr. Prideaux said in the news release. "Andy Howard's appointment will ensure our sustainable investment strategy continues to focus on developing these insights and integrating them into our investment platform as well as into our stewardship agenda."
The $662.6 billion money manager's sustainable investment team comprises 22 environmental, social and governance specialists. They are responsible for analysis, engagement, voting and helping to integrate ESG into Schroders' investment processes, across teams and asset classes.
A spokesman was not immediately available to comment.
