Brigade Capital Management has seen senior marketer and IR pro Ed Finneran depart after almost a decade at the firm, HFM InvestHedge has learned.
Finneran retired from Brigade at the end of 2018, according to a source familiar with the situation, having joined in 2008. He held the role of senior relationship manager, according to Brigade’s SEC Form ADV filing.
It is not yet known if he will remain active in the industry.
Prior to Brigade, Finneran spent almost 15 years at Merrill Lynch.
Credit specialist Brigade was founded in 2006 and is led by CIO and managing partner Donald Morgan.
Targeting companies with leveraged balance sheets, it manages several strategies across long/short, opportunistic, structured, distressed and high-yield debt.
Brigade, which managed $5.5bn in hedge fund assets as of 30 June 2018, is headquartered in New York with affiliated offices in London, Tokyo and Sydney.
A Brigade spokesperson declined to comment. Finneran could not be reached for comment.
