WHEAT: WHEAT

General Comments: Wheat was mixed, with HRW a little higher and SRW a little low high lower in all three markets yesterday in consolidation trading on Friday on macroeconomic factors  , but much higher for the week on follow through buying from the StatsCan production estimates that showed less Canadian Wheat production than the market anticipated Chicago on big fund selling but closed higher in Minneapolis in response to the USDA production estimates as StatsCan showed higher than expected ending stocks for Wheat. Minneapolis was lower but rallied off the lows to close near the bottom of a recent trading range. The debt ceiling fight in Congress and the problems with Evergrande in China are weighing on the market. People are worried about the taper away from debt by the Fed and how that will go as well. The weekly gains were most impressive in the Winter Wheat markets, but Minneapolis was higher as well. Trends are still turning up down on the daily and weekly charts and the weekly charts imply that big tops are now in the market. US in The demand has not been seen here, so ideas of increased ending stocks are around.. Hurricane Ida did not reach into most Wheat areas, but could have brought some big rains to some SRW areas. Wheat loading ports in the US are mostly in Texas or the PNW and were not affected. Dry weather in southern Russia as well as the northern US Great Plains and Canadian Prairies remains a supportive feature in the market although the weather has become old news the US and Canada are seeing some showers this week. Crop size estimates in Russia have been reduced and domestic Russian prices are above world prices. The Russian weather has been good for production in northern and western areas but is still trending dry in southern areas and into Kazakhstan. The weather in China and Europe is wet and there is potential for reduced quality in Europe. Europe is expecting top yields in some areas but less yield in others and parts of eastern Europe and northern Russia are expecting strong yields. Winter Wheat was  higher mostly a little low ideas of increasing potential as world prices rallied on short supplies, especially in Russia as the European market was more stable. The European market moved lower on Tuesday and took the US markets with it, but the price action yesterday provided stability to the charts. Dry weather in southern Russia Canadian Prairies remains a supportive feature in the market although the US and Canada are seeing some showers this week HRS closed much higher with the winter market in tow USDA showed sharply lower Spring Wheat production and much lower ending stocks estimates for All Wheat in its Monday reports. Trends in Winter Wheat markets are still mixed. Only HRW had any higher closes yesterday as SRW and Minneapolis closed lower. Crop size estimates in Russia have been reduced. The Russian weather has been good for production in northern and western areas but is still trending dry in southern areas and into Kazakhstan. Some showers are no in the forecast for the drier areas but are not expected to help much The weather in China and Europe is wet and there is potential for reduced quality in Europe. Europe is expecting top yields in some areas but less yield in others and parts of eastern Europe and northern Russia are expecting strong yields. Wheat markets were lower in very slow trading. Prices are weaker in recent days in the face of lower prices in Europe and Russia. Russia offered lower prices that got traded in the world market. The situation there is changing as Spring comes closer in Russia. Spring means that the next Winter crop will break dormancy and start to grow. It is expected to be a good crop after good growing conditions were seen over the Winter. That means the producers will be much more interested in selling.

Overnight News: The southern Gn Great Plains should get mostly dry conditions scattered showers mostly dry conditions. Temperatures should be near near
normal average trend to near to above below normal this week. Northern areas should see mostly dry conditions except mostly dry conditions mostly dry conditions for .some light snow tomorrow. Temperatures will be near to above  average near to above below normal. The Canadian Prairies should see isolated showers or dry conditions mostly dry conditions mostly dry conditions mostly dry weather. Temperatures should average near to above above average above  normal be above normal in the west and below normal in the east.
