March 2023 - Venture Capital
TRANSCRIPT:
Hello, my name is Andrea Alms and I am technology investor, financial manager and this is your money in motion. On the last episode we introduce ETF market. Now we are wrapping up on this final series on ETFs. As you may recall, in the U.S. ETF assets under management has grown to 5.9 trillion by 2021 at a approximated 15% compound annual growth rate between 2019 and 2028.
As of 2021, global ETFs are estimated at 9.35 trillion U.S. dollars, as four actively managed ETFs and ETP, it's about 400 billion. The total assets under management of domestic equities, ETFs in the U.S. amount to just above or about 4.3 trillion U.S. dollars as of January 2022. Based on popular demand. I was asked for my third party data.
Am I averaging best guess so far, third party data verifiable, harder than you think. Lots of global data, but U.S. market data harder to nail down. As a concluding remark, I found this quote from Eric Boccioni's, senior ETF analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence. Investors want either dirt cheap or shiny objects. They've got the boring base of vanilla, and they want a pop of active on top.
Thank you. This is your money, your money in motion.
