Richard Mertl* focuses his practice on finance and real estate matters, with particular emphasis on legal issues pertaining to CLOs, securitization and investment fund formation and management. Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Mertl was an associate in the New York offices of Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer US LLP. His previous experience also includes leading an ad hoc litigation defense practice which operated from offices in New York, Washington, D.C. and Shanghai.
