Compliance & Regulatory

Yes. AlphaMaven is designed as a compliance-friendly platform for alternative investments. Performance data for private funds is only accessible to self-attested Accredited Investors and Qualified Eligible Persons, in accordance with SEC Regulation D and CFTC rules. Public fund data (such as ETFs) is available without restrictions. Fund managers can confidently share their track records on AlphaMaven in a way that is not possible on social media, LinkedIn, or general websites.
An Accredited Investor is defined by SEC Rule 501 under Regulation D. Generally, this includes individuals with a net worth exceeding $1 million (excluding primary residence), income exceeding $200,000 individually or $300,000 jointly for the last two years, or certain professional certifications. AlphaMaven requires members to self-attest as an Accredited Investor during free registration to access private fund performance data. This is a regulatory requirement — not a paywall.
A Qualified Eligible Person (QEP) is defined under CFTC Rule 4.7 and applies primarily to managed futures investments. QEP status requires meeting both a portfolio requirement (typically $2 million in securities and other investments) and being an Accredited Investor. On AlphaMaven, QEP self-attestation unlocks access to managed futures listings and certain higher-minimum investment offerings.
Yes — that is one of AlphaMaven's core value propositions. Private fund managers cannot legally share performance data on LinkedIn, personal websites, or social media due to SEC general solicitation rules under Regulation D 506(b). AlphaMaven provides a compliance-friendly environment where performance data is gated behind accredited investor self-attestation, allowing managers to showcase their track records to qualified investors.
Public funds (ETFs, mutual funds, registered closed-end funds) are SEC-registered and their performance data can be shown publicly to anyone. Private funds (hedge funds, PE, VC, crypto funds, managed futures) are exempt from registration under Regulation D and their performance data must be gated behind investor qualification. AlphaMaven enforces this distinction — public fund data is freely available while private fund performance requires Accredited Investor attestation.
Yes. AlphaMaven follows NFA Rule 2-29 requirements for managed futures communications. Performance data for CPO/CTA listings is presented net of all fees and includes appropriate disclaimers. The platform's compliance layer — requiring QEP attestation for managed futures listings — aligns with CFTC Rule 4.7 and NFA regulatory expectations.

For Investors

AlphaMaven is a compliance-first platform. Basic profile information is visible to all visitors. To access performance data and detailed fund information, members must self-certify as an Accredited Investor (per SEC Rule 501) during free registration. Managed futures and certain higher-minimum listings additionally require Qualified Eligible Person (QEP) certification per CFTC Rule 4.7. Fund managers control visibility of sensitive materials through listing settings. This compliance layer allows managers to share performance data they cannot publish on LinkedIn or general websites.
Listed Private Investments are pre-screened alternative investment opportunities with rich, interactive profiles — not just a row of performance numbers in a spreadsheet. Each listing includes strategy overviews, presentations, performance reports, offering documents, due diligence materials, videos, webinars, market commentary, research, and news updates. Managers actively maintain their profiles, so you get a living picture of the fund — not a stale data snapshot. Every listing also undergoes a quality control review including performance verification, background checks, corporate entity review, and regulatory status confirmation.
Traditional alternative investment databases charge high subscription fees and typically offer little more than performance tables and basic contact information. AlphaMaven goes far beyond that. Every listing has a rich, multi-section profile where managers post presentations, commentary, research, videos, webinars, podcasts, due diligence documents, and offering materials. You can find managers, follow them to receive updates in your personalized feed, connect to access restricted content, and communicate directly through in-app messaging. And because every member is a self-attested qualified investor, you are part of a vetted professional community — not browsing anonymous data.
AlphaMaven is built around a Find, Follow, Connect, and Communicate workflow. Find managers using high-speed search across profiles, documents, videos, and news — with filters for investment type, strategy, AUM, location, and more. Follow any listing, contact, or company to receive their updates directly in your personalized feed. Connect with managers to unlock restricted content like due diligence materials and offering documents. Communicate directly through in-app messaging to ask questions or request information — all within the platform.
AlphaMaven listing profiles are far richer than a typical database entry. After registering, you can access strategy overviews, investor presentations, performance reports, market commentary, research, newsletters, press releases, awards, videos, webinars, podcasts, due diligence materials, and offering documents. You also get 128,200+ curated news headlines, the daily newsletter, fund leaderboard rankings, and contact and company profiles. Content visibility depends on your investor qualification level — Accredited Investor or QEP — and managers may restrict certain sensitive materials to connected investors.
Yes. You can follow any listing, contact, or company on AlphaMaven. When a manager you follow posts new content — presentations, commentary, performance reports, research, videos, or announcements — it appears directly in your personalized feed. This keeps you informed about the managers and strategies you care about without having to search manually.
Yes. AlphaMaven includes in-application messaging that allows you to communicate directly with investment managers. You can send inquiries, request additional information, or initiate conversations — all within the platform. Group messaging is also available for team-based communication. Because every member has self-attested their investor qualification, managers are more responsive knowing they are engaging with a qualified audience.
Every listing undergoes a quality control process that includes performance review, background checks, corporate entity verification, regulatory status confirmation, service provider review, and internet analysis. AlphaMaven also uses crowdsourced due diligence — community members can anonymously report concerns, which AlphaMaven investigates before taking any action on a listing.

For Fund Managers

LinkedIn does not allow fund managers to share private fund performance data — doing so risks SEC scrutiny under general solicitation rules. Traditional hedge fund databases charge high fees and only display performance numbers and basic contact information — no interactive profiles, no content publishing, no community engagement. AlphaMaven combines both: a compliance-friendly environment where you can share performance data behind accredited investor gating, plus rich interactive profiles where you can post presentations, commentary, research, videos, and more. Your content is discoverable by a community of qualified investors who can follow you, connect, and communicate directly.
Your listing is visible to a community of self-attested qualified investors — Accredited Investors, Qualified Eligible Persons, and institutional allocators. Because every member verifies their investor qualification at registration, you know your audience is relevant and engaged. Google indexes a compliance-safe public profile for your fund — a professional overview that helps new investors find you through search, without exposing any performance data or regulated information. Visitors must register and verify their investor qualification before accessing sensitive content. The daily newsletter reaches 91,500+ subscribers, and AI-powered suggested follows help match your profile with investors who have relevant interests.
Listed fund managers can submit monthly rate-of-return (ROR) data through their dashboard. Performance updates are reflected on the fund's listing profile and in the leaderboard rankings. We recommend submitting performance data monthly to maintain accurate leaderboard standings and visibility to investors.
Your listing profile has dedicated sections for a wide range of content. You can post newsletters, market commentary, research, press releases, announcements, and awards under News & Insights. You can upload investor presentations, performance reports, offering documents, and due diligence materials under Documents. You can host videos, webinars, and podcast episodes under Multimedia. You also have dedicated pages for your strategy overview, fund structure, and firm information. All sensitive content remains behind the platform's investor qualification gate — only your compliance-safe public profile is visible to search engines. Active profiles that regularly publish content rank higher on AlphaMaven and build a stronger investor following.
The Video PitchBook is an AlphaMaven-produced professional video for your fund. You record a 10-minute pitch on your phone, and AlphaMaven's production team edits it and syncs it with your PowerPoint presentation. The finished video is hosted on your listing profile, giving investors a compelling visual overview of your strategy.
Yes. AlphaMaven lets you restrict content visibility by investor suitability level — Accredited Investor, Qualified Eligible Person (QEP), or Qualified Purchaser (QP). You can also limit access to specific documents based on connection level, which is ideal for sensitive due diligence materials and offering documents. Team members can create unpublished content for compliance review before it goes live.
Yes. Google indexes a compliance-safe public profile for your fund — your firm name, strategy category, and a professional overview designed to attract qualified investors. No performance data, returns, or regulated information is ever exposed publicly. When investors search for your fund or company name, they find your AlphaMaven profile and are prompted to register and verify their investor qualification to access the full listing. Managers who regularly post content typically achieve top-of-page Google rankings within weeks.
Featured Posts are a premium service that prominently displays your content across the AlphaMaven platform. Featured content is highlighted on the site and included in the daily newsletter sent to 91,500+ subscribers. This significantly increases traffic to your profile and exposure to qualified investors.
