PAI Partners and EQT have agreed to sell World Freight Company (WFC) to Brookfield, a Toronto-based alternative asset manager that invests across private equity, infrastructure, real estate, renewable power and credit. WFC, founded in 2004, provides outsourced air cargo sales and management services for airlines and freight forwarders. The company operates across more than 80 countries, serving over 300 airlines and 16,000 freight forwarders on 3,500 trade lanes.
