New Lantern Capital founder Michael Allison has
signed on as a strategist and portfolio manager at Invest-
ment Research Partners, bringing his two-year-old equity
operation under the banner of the private fund sub-advisor.
Allison formed New Lantern in April 2022 after exiting
Eaton Vance after more than 21 years. As a global equity
portfolio manager and director of equity strategy imple-
mentation at Eaton Vance, Allison shared oversight of $56.8
billion of assets in closed-end funds, mutual funds and
